Cyanogenmod 10 nightly 2(07/08/2012) for Galaxy Mini/Pop GT-S5570


Yes its out again!A Second nightly has been released by thewhisp and rohan007 and it has a few very important changes.So, nothing  much to write about it and here we go with the changelog and flashing instructions.

nstallation Process

Disclaimer : Do It At Your Own Risk!

  1. Download required files and updates from below :
  2. Copy the downloaded files to the (Root directory of) your sd-card.
  3. Reboot your device to Custom Revovery (Press Home + Power Button).
  4. [Optional but, Recommended] Do a Nandroid Backup of your current ROM.
  5. Now from recovery main menu and select Wipe Data option.
  6. Confirm data wipe by selecting Yes.
  7. Now flash this android 4.1.1 jellybean based cyanogenmod 10 rom using clockwork mod recovery. Follow these steps :
    • Choose Install Zip From Sd Card option.
    • Select Choose Zip From SD Card option.
    • Now select cm-10-20120807-UNOFFICIAL-tass.zip downloaded in step 3.
    • Confirm the installation and wait till the rom is installed on you handset.
  8. Flash Latest Google apps in CWM recovery.
    • Choose Install Zip From Sd Card option.
    • Select Choose Zip From SD Card option.
    • Now select the Gapps JB file which you downloaded in step 3.
    • Confirm the installation and wait till the zip is installed on you handset.
  9. Reboot your device from your recovery main menu.

How to change Boot animation

First Method:

  • Download the animation.
  • Change filename from:

“ anything” to “bootanimation.zip

“anything” to “bootanimation.zip

  •  Place the bootanimation.zip in /system/media/  using root explorer.

Second Method using CWM:

Download the animation.

1. Copy zip to sdcard
2. Go into ClockWorkMod recovery
3. Flash zip
4. Reboot
5. Enjoy

Cyanogenmod 10 CMX Boot Animation


Do you want CM10 boot animation? nozerogravity a Recognized Themer on xda-forums has shared with us CM10 CMX boot animation.This is originally for LG GT540 but it can work on any device if you convert this into your device’s resolution.The same boot animation for Galaxy Mini is also given below.

INSTRUCTIONS TO GET CM10 BOOT ANIMATION:

First Method:

bootanimation_MDPI.zip” to “bootanimation.zip“(Light version)

bootanimation_MDPI_INV.zip” to “bootanimation.zip“(Black-Amoled Version)

  •  Place the bootanimation.zip in /system/media/  using root explorer.

Second Method using CWM:

Download CM10_MDPI_CWM.zip (Light version) or CM10_MDPI_INV_CWM.zip (Black-Amoled Version)

1. Copy zip to sdcard
2. Go into ClockWorkMod recovery
3. Flash zip
4. Reboot
5. Enjoy

CyanogenMod 10(Jellybean) for LG GT540 by miroslav_mm


Still on Froyo, Gingerbread or ICS? Its time for some beans in our device. Our GT540 Android Devlopment is reaching great heights every day. Its a great achievement by xda members as they have released one of the first JB ports for our GT540 and this is one of them. Thats Right! when we have such wonderful developers in the Android development community, old devices such as the Optimus GT540 will never fade away into oblivion. Therefore,  XDA Senior Member miroslav_mm has released a CyanogenMod 10 ROM upgrade for it which means that it is now possible to run Android Jelly Bean 4.1 on it. The ROM is yet under initial stage which means that some of the features are not working fine on it. So it is not a recommended upgrade but yet if you really want to taste jellybean, then you can surely go for it..So, here’s the changelog with all the instructions.

  1. Go to Menu/Boot animation/New…
  2. Click ‘Choose folder’ and select the folder in which your ‘part’ folders are.
  3. Click ‘Add loop’ to add a loop. You can add as many loops as you want.
  4. When you finish adding loops, click ‘Save boot animation’ and save your boot animation somewhere on your computer.

How to preview boot animations using Boot Animation Factory
Preview zipped boot animations

  1. Go to Menu/Boot animation/Preview…
  2. When the dialog appears, tick the first radio button (.zip file) and click OK.
  3. Click ‘Choose boot animation’ and choose the boot animation you want to preview.
  4. Optional: you have some options here, like playing a boot sound, setting custom speed, using custom size, or repeating/not repeating a boot animation. Set the properties as you wish.
  5. Click ‘Preview boot animation’ and enjoy the preview!

Previewing boot animations from folder

  1. Go to Menu/Boot animation/Preview…
  2. Tick the second radio button (Folders) and click OK
  3. Click ‘Choose folder’ and choose the folder which contains your ‘part’ folders.
  4. Click ‘Add loop’ to add a loop. You can add as many loops as you want.
  5. Optional: you can play a boot sound, repeat/not repeat the animation or use custom sizes. Set those properties as you wish.

Previewing boot animation from device

  2. Tick the third radio button (Phone) and click OK.
  3. In the first combo box, select (or type) where your boot animation is located on your device.
  4. In the second combo box, select (or type) the name of your boot animation
  5. Click ‘Get animation’ and wait for Boot Animation Factory to get the boot aniamtion from your device. Optional: check whether you want Boot Animation Factory to wait for your device or not.
  6. Click ‘Preview boot animation’ and enjoy the preview!

How to flash boot animations to your phone using Boot Animation Factory

  1. Go to Menu/Boot animation/Flash to phone…
  2. Click ‘Choose boot animation’ and choose the boot animation you want to flash.
  3. In the first combo box, select (or type) where the boot animation should be flashed on your phone.
  4. In the second combo box, select (or type) the name of your boot animation.
  5. Select whether you want Boot Animation Factory to wait for device, reboot after flash and use superuser permissions or not.
  6. Click ‘Flash to phone’ to flash yout boot animation.

How to explore a boot animation using Boot Animation Factory

  1. Go to Menu/Boot animation/Explore…
  2. Choose your boot animation and explore your boot animation. Optional: you can export any frame and the desc.txt file from the animation by right-clicking on the file and then clicking ‘Save desc.txt file/frame as…’.
